The Industrial Development Agency plans to take over the State Treasury Company – Energy Wired Factory based in Będzin – according to the information of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK).

According to the information on the UOKiK website, the planned concentration consists in taking over the industry development agency (ARP), a state -owned company, control over the energy wires factory based in Będzin (FPE). Currently, the only shareholder in FPE is the State Treasury.
The Energy Wired Factory (FPE) – as transferred – is a producer of copper and aluminum cables on the domestic market and is currently not included in any capital group.
In September 2024, the then president of ARP Michał Dąbrowski, when asked by PAP about the future of the Factory of Energy Wires, Będzin admitted that in recent years “this factory declined”. He emphasized that the meaning of FPE Będzin in the ARP portfolio would be “very strengthened” and added that the factory is important in connection with energy transformation.
The Industrial Development Agency supports the development of Polish companies by financing investments and helping in restructuring processes. ARP has assets in 76 companies, of which in 51 of them – majority packages (these companies are part of the ARP group). The main industries in which the ARP groups operate, are: Stocker, Kolejowa, Metal, Wybobytwa, Founding, Packaging, Tourist, Tourist, Machine's Modernization and Construction.
