The Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation stated that Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukraine, in particular with the help of Oreshnik ballistic missiles. This is stated in the department’s report dated May 24 on the progress of the “special military operation” (SVO).
The ministry noted that the shelling occurred “in response to Ukrainian terrorist attacks on civilian targets on Russian territory.”
In addition to the Oreshnik missile, Russian troops launched Iskander missiles, hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, Zircon cruise missiles, air-, sea-, ground-based missiles and UAVs across Ukraine, the main targets of which, as the department noted, were “military command and control facilities, air bases and enterprises of the military-industrial complex.”
“The objectives of the strike were achieved, all designated targets were hit,” they wrote in the report.
