Beeline has increased the reliability and stability of the core network for 9 million customers

Beeline has implemented a significant network development project, expanding the geography of application of MME-in-pool* technology. Thanks to this, the operator has increased the reliability, flexibility and efficiency of the core network, which is the heart of mobile communications.
The company's specialists increased the number of SGSN** and MME mobile network core nodes, linking them into a single whole with the ability to automatically redistribute the load. These network elements act as traffic “dispatchers”: they manage the connection of smartphones and ensure their mobility, monitor the stability of communications and help the network quickly respond to increased load.
Thanks to the introduction of additional nodes for more than 9 million customers, the stability of voice calls using VoLTE*** technology has increased. Also, additional nodes provided flexible load management and network redundancy: in case of failures, traffic will automatically switch to another element in the pool, and users will not notice changes in the quality of communication. This is especially important in large cities, where the number of users and the volume of data is constantly growing.
Modernization has improved communication reliability in Yekaterinburg, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Stavropol, Vladikavkaz, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk, Barnaul, Omsk and other cities. Next in line are the following territories.
The development of the core network creates the basis for further expansion of coverage and the construction of new base stations in areas with high demand for mobile Internet. This improves the quality and stability of communications for all clients.
*MME (Mobility Management Entity) — mobility unit.
*MME-in-pool – MME group for load balancing and redundancy in the LTE network.
**SGSN (Serving GPRS Support Node) – GPRS service support node.
***VoLTE – Voice over LTE – voice through net LTE.
