Tomsk University, with the help of bloggers, wants to attract students from Algeria and Indonesia

Tomsk State University plans to increase the number of students from Algeria and Indonesia. For this purpose, the university organized a blog tour for journalists and bloggers from these countries, RIA Tomsk writes with reference to the university’s press service.

Guests have already been shown the scientific library, the main building and engineering laboratories, including one of the largest closed test sites for drones in Russia, the Chemical Technology Engineering Center and the production of medical products “Aloiz”. In total, 18 bloggers came to Tomsk.

As the press service said, about 3.5 thousand foreign students are currently studying at TSU – this is about a quarter of the total number. 1,192 people came from non-CIS countries, 79 of them from Indonesia. The university emphasized that this is the largest Indonesian diaspora among all Russian universities.
