Since the beginning of 2026, more than 220 dry grass fires have occurred in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The total area of burnt vegetation exceeded 1,600 hectares, reported the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region. For comparison, this is an area of about 2,000 football fields.
In the central and southern territories of the region there is a special fire regime. For burning garbage and burning grass, administrative and criminal liability is provided:
- the fine for citizens ranges from 10 to 20 thousand rubles;
- for officials – from 30 thousand to 60 thousand rubles;
- for individual entrepreneurs – from 60 thousand to 80 thousand rubles;
- for legal entities – from 400 thousand to 800 thousand rubles.
If the violation results in serious harm to health, death, destruction of forests or damage to property, the perpetrator may face criminal liability.
Rescuers urge residents of the region to be careful in nature and not to light fires in open areas with dry grass, especially in windy weather.
If a fire is detected, you should immediately call 101 or 112.
