Many people think that old cookware with a black carbon layer can no longer be saved and it’s time to replace it with a new one. In fact, you can return metal to its factory shine in one evening without special products. A simple mixture from kitchen shelves eats away even old soot and gently cleans the surface.
You will need:
Baking soda – 3 tablespoons
Table vinegar 9% – half a glass
Water – 200 milliliters
Sponge with a soft abrasive side – for finishing
Cleaning instructions:
- Spread the baking soda evenly over the bottom and interior walls of the pan, paying attention to the darkest areas.
- Gently pour the vinegar over the surface to initiate an active, fizzing reaction.
- This process loosens the dense layer of burnt fat.
- Fill the mixture with water and place the container on low heat.
- Bring the liquid to a boil and keep on the stove for ten minutes, then turn off the heat.
- Drain the cooled solution, rinse the product thoroughly under the tap and wipe the bottom with a paper towel until dry.
The dishes are ready for use immediately after drying. The method is suitable for steel and enamel surfaces, returning them to their original cleanliness without scratches.
