What is the difference between a pot and a flowerpot

The pot looks simple and uncomplicated, since the main goal is to provide the plants with a normal microclimate. Such containers are made of plastic and ceramics. Pots must be equipped with stands where excess liquid accumulates.
A flowerpot is a decorative container without holes, so excess water remains at the bottom. Pots are made from a variety of materials – ceramics, rattan, wood, metal. Flowerpots vary in color and design, so they can fit into any interior.
How to make it beautiful
The best option is 2 in 1, when the pot is inserted into a flowerpot. It looks stylish, beautiful and neat, plus the roots will not suffocate or die from rotting.
But some gardeners still prefer to grow plants directly in pots. Then add a drainage layer and under no circumstances overwater the plants. Otherwise, excess water will remain at the bottom of the container. The pot will take a long time to dry out, and the plant will suffer from rot and fungi.
