Ukraine's night attack. Kyiv used huge missiles [WIDEO]

While a political tug-of-war continues over a ceasefire over the Moscow Victory Parade scheduled for May 9, the Ukrainian army has not been idle and has once again launched a night strike against targets deep in Russia.

This time, Kiev used huge, several-meter-long FP-5 Flaming cruise missiles to attack, which hit an electronic equipment factory in Cheboksary, approximately 1,000 km from the front. This plant produces components used in Russian drones and missiles, so Kiev continues attacks against the infrastructure supporting the operation of the Russian defense industry.

Recordings circulating online also indicate that some time after the missiles, Ukrainian drones struck the same target.

FP-5 – Ukraine's flagship missile

The FP-5 Flaming is a heavy cruise missile and currently the largest weapon of this type in the Ukrainian arsenal. “Five” is approximately 13 meters long and was created by the Ukrainian company Fire Point, which means that Kyiv has full control over the use of these weapons and does not have to coordinate its use with the United States, as is the case with ATACMS missiles.

FP-5 has a range of 3,000 km, carries a warhead weighing 1,150 kg and in order to avoid enemy air defense systems it can fly at an altitude of only several dozen meters. It is also worth adding that the missile uses relatively simple targeting methods, which means it hits the enemy with an accuracy of 14 m and in ideal conditions. Some compromises in this matter were made in order to speed up the series production of the Flamingo, so it is possible that over time the missile will gain even greater attack accuracy.
