An STB bus and a tram collided on Saturday morning in the intersection at Piața Sudului in the Capital, informed the Road Brigade within the DGPMB.
“On May 2, at around 8:02 a.m., the Road Brigade was notified through SNUAU 112 regarding the fact that a traffic accident occurred at Piața Sudului involving a STB bus and a tram. From the first information, a 57-year-old man drove a bus on Olteniței road from Berceni road to Constantin Brâncoveanu Boulevard and when he reached the intersection with Calea Văcărești collided with a tram driven by a 47-year-old woman. As a result of the traffic accident, a passenger in the tram was injured, who was transported to the hospital for medical care”, according to the source cited by Agerpres.
Both drivers were tested with the alcohol test device, the indicated result being zero.
The investigations are continued by the policemen of the Road Brigade to establish the circumstances and conditions in which the traffic accident occurred.
STB announced on X that line 10 was blocked on Sos. Olteniței, at Piața Sudului, on the direction to Romprim due to a “traffic event” until 9.05. The company said it has temporarily set up 610 to pick up passengers.
