The rock bands Metallica (May 13) and Iron Maiden (May 28) will hold concerts on the “National Arena” this spring. The last 4 stages of the Super League play-off take place in May 2026, in the periods 2-3 May, 9-10 May, 16-17 May and 23-24 May.

The General City Hall of Bucharest has the right to administer the National Arena. Over the years, the authorities have rented the venue for events other than football, and football clubs have complained that they have suffered.

Although the premises have hosted everything from drifting competitions to religious gatherings, the City Hall has not managed to be on the plus side. Ciprian Ciucu, the general mayor of Bucharest, conveyed the fact that “Arena Națională” did not produce profit even in 2025.

The annual expenses for the stadium are 30 million lei, around 6 million euros, while the profit is 10 million lei, two million euros.
