Around midnight on April 29, in the Sovetsky district of Krasnoyarsk, a fire occurred in a five-story residential building on Aerovokzalnaya Street.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire broke out in an apartment on the 3rd floor; there was dense smoke in the entrance.
45 residents were able to evacuate on their own, another 9 were removed by firefighters.
“One of the rescued people was found on the staircase between the 3rd and 4th floors; he needed medical help. Later, four more people contacted doctors, including two children born in 2021 and 2024. They were poisoned by combustion products,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
With the help of 29 firefighters and 10 pieces of equipment, the fire was extinguished on an area of 18 m²; household items and furniture were damaged by the fire. The preliminary cause of the fire is an electrical short circuit.
