The thirteenth pension is subject to annual indexation – in 2026 the indicator was 5.3%. The benefit is equal to the minimum pension amount.

Until February 2026, the lowest pension was PLN 1,878.91 gross. After the March indexation thirteen increased to PLN 1,978.49 gross, i.e. PLN 99.58 more than a year earlier.
When will the “thirteenth” be paid? Changes on two dates
Thirteenths are paid on standard pension dates: 1st, 6th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th of the month. However, if the deadline falls on a public holiday, ZUS makes the transfer earlier.
In April 2026, this situation will occur twice:
- 1st day of the month — payment on Wednesday, April 1
- 6th day of the month — payment three days earlier, on Friday, April 3 (April 6 is Easter Monday)
- 10th day of the month — payment on Friday, April 10
- 15th day of the month — payment on Wednesday, April 15
- 20th day of the month — payment on Monday, April 20
- 25th day of the month — payment the day before, on Friday, April 24 (April 25 falls on Saturday)

This means that people receiving benefits on the 1st and 6th of the month will receive the 13th benefit before Easter. The remaining seniors will receive transfers after the holidays.
Who will receive the thirteenth birthday?
The benefit is available to persons who, as of March 31, 2026, had an established right to retirement and disability benefits, including pre-retirement benefits.
The thirteenth will not be paid:
- persons whose right to a pension or disability pension was suspended as of March 31, 2026,
- people receiving the so-called Olympic retirement,
- retired prosecutors and judges.
