The US will put pressure on Iran. Donald Trump issued an order to advisers

The US Navy has been blocking the Strait of Hormuz for about two weeks now, preventing the passage of ships heading to or from ports in Iran. In this way he is trying to deprive this country of oil revenues. At the same time, Iran keeps the strait closed to almost all other traffic. As reported by “WSJ”, Donald Trump instructed his advisers to prepare for an extension of the blockade of the strait. During meetings with them, he allegedly concluded that this was a less risky option than resuming bombing or completely withdrawing the US from the conflict.

On Tuesday, Trump announced that Iran had asked the United States to lift the naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz while negotiations between the two sides take place. “Tehran wants this crucial waterway for the transportation of oil and gas to be opened 'as soon as possible' while they try to sort out the situation at the top of power,” wrote the US president on the Truth Social platform. “Iran has declared that it is in a 'state of collapse,'” he added.
