The cat got out of the carrier and into the driver’s arms and caused an accident on the highway in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

In the Nazarovsky District, a foreign car slid into a ditch and overturned because of a cat, which got out of its carrier and distracted the driver. This was reported to the Nazarovo police.
Everything happened on the 43rd kilometer of the Achinsk-Uzhur-Troitskoye highway. A 24-year-old resident of Sharypova was driving a Honda Civic to Krasnoyarsk and taking her cat with her.
At some point, the animal got out of the loose carrier and sat in the owner’s arms. The girl, without slowing down, tried to put the pet back, but lost control. The car went off the road and overturned.
“First of all, I examined the cat to see if he was injured, and then I examined myself. I didn’t receive any injuries,” the driver explained to the arriving officers.
Traffic inspectors remind you: an animal in the driver’s arms or on a passenger’s lap is a violation of clause 23.3 of the traffic rules, as it makes driving difficult and threatens safety. The fine for such a violation is 500 rubles.
