An elderly Krasnoyarsk woman faces a prison sentence for making purchases using someone else's card found on the street.

A Krasnoyarsk woman will go to trial for stealing money from a bank card.

In February of this year, a local resident contacted the Krasnoyarsk police department. She said that someone made purchases worth more than 7 thousand rubles from her lost card.

The police quickly identified the thief. He turned out to be a previously unconvicted 75-year-old woman. According to the accused, on her way home she found a bank card on the road and decided to use it. In total, she made six purchases totaling 7.2 thousand rubles.

Thanks to the actions of the police officers, the damage to the accused was fully compensated.

A criminal case has been initiated against the attacker. She faces up to six years in prison. The criminal investigation has been completed. The accused was given a written undertaking not to leave the place and to behave properly.
