Andrei Nicolescuthe president of the red and whites, took stock of the year 2025, a year full of events for him, on all levels. Here is the conclusion he reached!
Dinamo ends 2025 in 4th place. From there, the assault will start in the second half of January 2026. For the play-offs, for the podium, the supporters and players are even talking about the fight for the title.
8years have passed since the previous play-off participation of the “dogs”. They played in the top 6 in the spring, not since 2017
Andrei Nicolescu analyzed 2025: “A tough but extremely valuable lesson”
The president of the red-whites, Andrei Nicolescu, made an analysis of the year that is coming to an end. One in which he had mixed emotions, both personally and in his career as a club leader. He has known both success and disappointment.
“The year ending has made me, perhaps more clearly than ever, more aware of how important it is to remain grateful regardless of the outcome.
I am deeply indebted for everything I have experienced this year – for the good times, for the pressure, for the emotions, for the lessons and for the people who have been a part of this journey. I had two different but surprisingly similar experiences.
Eva (n.red the daughter of the Dynamo official), after an exceptional career at Vocea României, appreciated by specialists at a higher level than the other contestants, ended the competition in 4th place. There, the battle was not about performance or artistic value – which were clearly recognized – but a battle of votes.
Dinamo, after a very good end of the year, with real chances that with a victory in Arad to end 2025 on the first position of the ranking, stops – at least for the moment – around the 4th place.
And here comes a hard but extremely valuable lesson: the difference between 99% and 100% is colossal,” noted Andrei Nicolescu in a post on his personal Facebook page.
2007it is the year in which Dinamo won the last championship trophy in the first division
Andrei Nicolescu's conclusion for 2026 and for the future: “He who “almost” does everything right does not win in life. But the one who stays focused until the last second”
“In performance sports, in competition, in life, the one who 'almost' does everything right doesn't win. The one who stays focused until the last second wins. The one who doesn't assume 'it's enough'. The one who doesn't let others do the heavy lifting for him.”
In one case, the difference was in turnout—perhaps because too many believed others would vote. In the other case, the difference was in the level of concentration in the last match, at a time when it may seem that the objective has already been achieved and the holiday is near.
The universe sometimes has a very clear way of reminding us that every battle is only won with 100% commitment, no matter how many arguments you have that it “should” be enough.
It's not a message about guilt. It's a message about responsibility. And this end of the year gives us all a chance to take an honest look at what was, to understand what we can do better, and to move forward brighter, humbler and hungrier.
I wish you all peaceful holidays, with your loved ones, with health and peace.
I hope that reflecting on the year that is ending will make each of us a little better, more mindful, and more engaged in all that really matters.
Because the real performance starts exactly from the moments when you understand that 99% never arrives”, the official of the “red dogs” said.
