In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the court took into custody the former forest ranger of the Abansky district forestry. He is accused of accepting bribes, prosecutors said.
According to investigators, in January 2024, an official offered a local entrepreneur to find convenient sites in the Kamensky and Abansky forest districts for 430 thousand rubles. The businessman agreed. The money was transferred in parts: first 100 thousand in cash, and in August 2025 – another 200 thousand right at the forester’s house in the village of Nikolsk.

For two years no one knew about the bribes, but in April 2026, the FSB received a signal. The audit revealed details: the entrepreneur’s testimony, calls to witnesses and correspondence on the phone. A criminal case was opened against the ex-forester under Part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – taking a bribe.
The prosecutor insisted on arrest. The supervisory agency believed that the accused had connections in the area and could put pressure on witnesses. Having a home and family did not become an argument for a more lenient preventive measure.
The court agreed and sent the former forester to a pre-trial detention center for two months – until June 21, 2026. The investigation is ongoing.
