In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, police caught a 38-year-old resident of Kansk with fraud when receiving social benefits.
It was established that a man who had not previously come to the attention of law enforcement officers fraudulently received almost 350 thousand rubles for the implementation of a social contract for self-employed individual entrepreneurs.
“The money given to him as part of the state program of the region was intended for the purchase of materials for the manufacture of awnings. However, when applying for a one-time payment as targeted social assistance to low-income, lonely people, the attacker initially did not intend to use it for its intended purpose in order to improve his financial situation. The man not only stole a large amount of state support, but when submitting documents for a social contract, he provided deliberately false, unreliable information about being in a difficult life situation, and also hid income from additional earnings that exceeded the social payment itself,” the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said about the fraud.
The defendant was charged with committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud in receiving payments, committed on a large scale.” Currently, the materials of the criminal case, along with the indictment, have been sent to court.
