The Russian Federation will stop supplies of Kazakh oil to Germany via the Druzhba oil pipeline from May 1 – media

According to the agency, the Russian Federation has already sent warnings to Kazakhstan and Germany. The cessation of supplies, already limited since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, will exacerbate uncertainty in Germany's energy supply.

Reuters notes that oil pumped from Kazakhstan to Germany via Druzhba in 2025 amounted to 2.146 million tons, which is 44% more than in 2024, and in the first quarter of 2026 – 730 thousand tons.

A complete stop in exports will lead to a reduction of approximately 17% in the volume of oil processed by one of the largest German oil refineries in the country, PCK, with a capacity of up to 12 million tons per year. Fuel from this plant powers nine out of 10 cars in the Berlin-Brandenburg region, it said.
