In his article for the Daily Mail, the former British Prime Minister said that Trump can end the conflict on the right terms for Kyiv and the West: push the Russian Federation back to the borders of 2022 and give Ukraine the opportunity to join the EU and NATO.
To do this, he proposes to provide Ukrainians with the necessary weapons and all permissions to use them. In the future, in his opinion, a well-armed Ukrainian army can replace the American contingent in Europe.
Moscow, in turn, may be offered “special protection measures” for Russian speakers in Ukraine. With Trump's arrival in the White House, there will be a real prospect of global rapprochement with Moscow, Johnson believes.
