A meeting of the government commission for the development of tourism in the Russian Federation was held in Moscow, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko. Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov took part in the work. The participants discussed the degree of readiness of the regions for the summer tourist season.
Opening the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that based on the results of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality”, the main indicators were achieved: the share of tourism in GDP was 3.1%, the volume of exports of tourism services was $8.75 billion, which is almost 20% more than the previous year. The number of classified rooms is more than 1 million. Compared to 2024, the number of incoming tourist trips in 2025 increased by 13% – this is about 5.8 million foreign tourists. The number of tourist trips throughout the country exceeded the figures by 4.1%.
The Krasnoyarsk Territory continues to actively participate in the implementation of the national project. This year the region will receive 239.5 million rubles from the federal budget. The funds will be used, among other things, to support public initiatives in the field of tourism, as well as to create modular hotel-type facilities in the Bolshemurtinsko-Sukhobuzimsky municipal district. One of the priorities for the development of the tourism sector in the region will be the introduction of the family-centric principle: special attention will be paid to the creation of family rooms at recreation centers, the introduction of special services at tourist sites.
The development of one of the key and popular types of recreation in the region – river tourism – will continue. With the start of navigation on the Yenisei, the new walking route Krasnoyarsk – Divnogorsk will be in full operation with an inspection of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station on the high-speed hydrofoil “Voskhod”. And on June 4, the four-deck motor ship “Maxim Gorky” will again set sail on routes to Yeniseisk and Dudinka. During navigation in 2026, the electric-powered pleasure catamaran “Ekokhod” will also continue operating.
In terms of ecotourism, in 2026, the national parks “Krasnoyarsk Pillars” and “Shushensky Bor” received subsidies in the amount of more than 40 million rubles for the development of tourism infrastructure.
This year, new points of attraction will appear on the map of the region: in Krasnoyarsk – a staircase on Karaulnaya Mountain, a multifunctional center on Nikolaevskaya Sopka and a park-museum of the development of the North on Molokov Island; as well as a number of modern facilities in the Balakhtinsko-Novoselovsky and Sharypovsky municipal districts, Minusinsk and Sosnovoborsk. Hotels are also being designed in Krasnoyarsk, which received support under the preferential lending program of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality”.
According to statistics, interest in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is growing every year: if in 2023 an increase in tourist flows of 5% was recorded, then in 2024 this figure increased to almost 12%. By 2030, tourist flows should increase by 60% compared to 2023. The developed transport infrastructure makes the region more attractive for tourists. Krasnoyarsk Airport is included in the top 10 most convenient air harbors in the country according to Forbes.
The Governor's Press Service reported that Mikhail Kotyukov invited his colleagues to Krasnoyarsk, where the All-Russian Hospitality Forum will be held in the fall. One of the key topics may be summing up the summer tourist season.
