In Krasnoyarsk, they began to build a storm sewer for the backup of the Yenisei Highway.
The city planning department said that the contractor is now digging trenches for laying pipes. About 2 kilometers of pipeline have already been laid and more than 35 collectors have been equipped.
“The main work at the site is excavation. The formation of a “road trough” for the future road is underway. The soil is removed, the base is prepared, and then backfilled and compacted tightly. The construction of the road is being carried out in two shifts,” the department’s press service said.
The region received 2 billion rubles for this facility as part of an infrastructure loan. The road is included in the plan for preparing Krasnoyarsk for the 400th anniversary. Let us remind you that it will connect Aviatorov Street and Sokolovskaya Street and will actually become a backup for the Yenisei Highway.
“The length of the highway is almost 4.5 km. The number of lanes will vary from 4 to 6. In the area of the street. Voskhodnaya will be branched off by two backup routes; they will run parallel to the main four-lane highway – the “West” and “East” highways. The project includes public transport stops, sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, traffic lights, lighting and landscaping,” the department recalled.
According to the contract, the road must be built by the end of 2027.
