“When Meloni came to Kyiv, I no longer remember what kind of meeting it was – when the president gathered the leaders of all countries in the Mariinsky Palace – I was invited and told that she personally knew the words of the song “Bakhmut Fort”. She directly sang them at some meeting with Vladimir Zelensky after San Remo,” Topolya recalled.
According to the artist, Meloni remembered the melody.
“She really liked this song, the character of this composition. And we, realizing that I would see her, from the Antitila group gave her an Italian player and a Ukrainian record from our team, on which the song “Fortetsya Bakhmut” was recorded, among other things,” the artist noted.
Context
On February 10, 2023, the group “Antitila” released a video for the song “Fortetsya Bakhmut”. The work on filming the video lasted three days in real positions during combat missions near Bakhmut. Soldiers of the 59th howitzer artillery division of the 45th separate artillery brigade took part in the filming.
