Banca Transilvania returns to Formula 1 at the Austrian Grand Prix 2026

You are probably among the people who have watched Formula 1 at least once. Either for the sound that vibrates in your chest before the start, for the duels in the last lap or for the emotion of those seconds when everything is decided at the limit. Formula 1 is not just about fast cars. It's about strategy, courage and extreme performance. And Banca Transilvania chose not to stay only in the stands: it entered the same grid as the performance, where every second and every decision counts.

Last year, in August, for the first time, the logo of a Romanian bank appeared on a Formula 1 car. It was more than a visibility exercise. It was a statement of ambition, pace and courage. Thus, after the interest generated in 2025, Banca Transilvania (BT) extends its partnership with McLaren Mastercard Formula 1® Team for an additional race: Austrian Grand Prix 2026, held between June 26-28, in Spielberg.

In 2026, BT will be a partner in two benchmark European stages of the competitive calendar:

  • Austrian Grand Prix (June 26-28, Spielberg)
  • Hungarian Grand Prix (July 24-26, Hungaroring)

Spielberg: speed, precision and global visibility

The Spielberg circuit, known as the Red Bull Ring, is one of the most spectacular tracks in Europe. Fast, technical, with level differences and corners that demand millisecond decisions, the Austrian Grand Prix is a stage with major international visibility.

In this context, the BT branding will be present, just like last year, on the single-seaters of the McLaren team, on the steering wheel and on the helmets of drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

Visibility is not just symbolic. It is positioning in a space associated with technological innovation, real-time data analysis and strategies built on performance.

Two races, one clear direction

By extending the partnership for Spielberg, in addition to the already announced presence at the Hungarian stage, BT is strengthening an association that speaks of consistency.

The Hungaroring is a technical circuit, where the strategy and finesse of the pilot weigh decisively. The fact that BT is present in two European stages geographically close to Romania brings the competition closer to the local community.

More than a logo on the body

Such a partnership is not just limited to media exposure. Throughout the year, BT prepares benefits and surprises for customers: premium experiences and mechanisms through which the adrenaline and exclusivity of Formula 1 translate into concrete advantages.

Partnering with a brand like McLaren and the Formula 1 ecosystem means connecting to a powerful global context, where performance is essential and innovation makes the difference between the podium and the peloton. For BT, this international presence is also a statement about the maturity of a Romanian brand that can be placed in a global competitive framework.

Romania in a framework of excellence

By expanding the collaboration for the Austrian Grand Prix 2026, Banca Transilvania not only consolidates its presence in a universe of performance, but also brings Romania into an international context associated with innovation at the highest level.

And perhaps the most important stake is not only visibility on the single-seater, but the message conveyed: that a Romanian brand can accelerate, compete and remain relevant in one of the most demanding ecosystems in the world.
