Ex-mayor of Nazarov Vladimir Saar was released from pre-trial detention center

In Krasnoyarsk, the court changed the preventive measure for the former head of the city of Nazarovo, 62-year-old Vladimir Saar, to a more lenient one – from detention to house arrest. The prosecutor's office reported this.

Let us remind you that he was detained in October 2025 on suspicion of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale (h. 6 tbsp. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to investigators, from 2023 to 2024, Saar, while in the position of mayor of Nazarov, agreed with PromStroy LLC on an illegal monetary reward in the amount of 3.5 million rubles for providing advantages in concluding and executing municipal contracts for road construction work in the city. For a bribe, the ex-official helped PromStroy LLC win the competitive procedure and conclude a contract worth 100 million rubles.
Until February 6, 2026, Vladimir Saar was in a pre-trial detention center, and now he is under house arrest. So far, this preventive measure has been chosen for him for two months, that is, until April 6.
According to the prosecutor's office, Saar entered into a pre-trial agreement about cooperation.
