Russia said on Thursday morning that it had destroyed 113 Ukrainian drones overnight, with the attack targeting a refinery in the north-west of the country, where an oil tank caught fire, according to local authorities, quoted by France Presse.
The attack came shortly after talks in Geneva between Moscow, Kiev and Washington, which are trying to find a solution to the four-year war in Ukraine.
The talks, which took place in Switzerland on Tuesday and Wednesday, were described as “difficult” by both Moscow and Kiev and ended without tangible results.
Between Wednesday and Thursday night, Russian forces “intercepted and destroyed 113 Ukrainian drones,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
One of the attacks targeted an oil refinery in Velikiye Louki, in the Pskov region (northwest), causing “a fire in an oil tank,” regional governor Mikhaïl Vedernikov said in a statement.

According to initial reports, the attack did not cause any casualties among civilians or refinery personnel, he added.
Ukraine, which has itself been the target of near-daily Russian bombing for four years, is launching retaliatory attacks, particularly targeting Russian oil refineries and port and energy infrastructure.
