In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, over the past 10 years, the incidence and mortality from tuberculosis has been steadily decreasing. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.
According to regional anti-tuberculosis dispensary No. 1, hThe incidence of tuberculosis in 2025 was 33.4 people per 100 thousand population. Pcompared to 2024 morbidity has decreased by 14.4%. A decrease of 24.8% means that 40 fewer people died from tuberculosis over the year than in 2024. In the structure of the disease, the proportion of patients with co-infection with HIV + tuberculosis has increased. It amounted to 38.9%,” the medical institution clarified.
Also, in 2025, the incidence of tuberculosis in children under 14 years of age decreased by 22.8% – 6.6 per 100 thousand children. The incidence of adolescents decreased by 15.8% and is 8.4 per 100 thousand population.
Last year, 896 people were cured of the disease, and 2,276,881 people were screened.
The regional Ministry of Health also added that last year the regional TB dispensary took part in a multicenter cohort study on the use of short-term chemotherapy regimens in patients with tuberculosis. Also in the region, a screening center began to operate to detect tuberculosis using artificial intelligence to sort fluorography results. In 2026, new standards of treatment, included in national clinical guidelines, are already being applied in the daily practice of Krasnoyarsk TB specialists.
