The Russian helicopter violated the airspace of Poland

The helicopter of the Russian Baltic Fleet violated the Polish airspace on the Baltic Sea on Friday evening – the Operational Command of the Armed Forces (Cod) informed on Saturday. In military assessment, Russia thus checks the readiness of Polish air defense systems.

“On Friday evening, the Russian military helicopter of the Baltic Fleet violated the airspace over the territorial waters of the Republic of Poland on the Baltic Sea,” said Dorsz.

According to the information provided in the command of the helicopter's LOT command, he was observed by military radar systems of the Polish Armed Forces and by the civil systems of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANS).

“Air defense forces and duty measures remained in constant readiness to ensure the security of Polish airspace. The nature of the incident indicates that Russia is testing the readiness of our air defense systems” – assessed Cod (PAP)
