A previously convicted resident of Kansk was again put on trial for stealing alcohol from supermarkets (video)

In Kansk, a 44-year-old local resident who had previously been convicted was again put on trial for a series of thefts of alcohol from stores. This was reported by the press service of the Krasnoyarsk Territory police.
Having been released from prison, the man broke the law again a year later by stealing a bottle of alcohol from a retail chain store. The local police brought the case against the attacker administrative material under Part 2 of Art. 7.27 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Petty theft”. For his misconduct, he received 10 days of administrative arrest.
Having analyzed the mistakes, a month later, over the course of six months, he committed nine more thefts of alcohol from supermarkets for a total amount of more than 3 thousand rubles.
“In two cases, the attempts were unsuccessful – the security service noticed the theft; in the rest, the monitoring of CCTV cameras again revealed the bad guy. Explaining his behavior to the police, the detainee admitted that he abused alcohol, and when the alcohol ran out and there was no money to buy it, he went to the supermarket and committed theft,” the regional police said.
For each fact, criminal cases were initiated against the man under Art. 158.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Petty theft committed by a person subjected to administrative punishment,” including for attempts. He faces imprisonment for up to one year.
