In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a woman sued the company 300 thousand for an abandoned fireplace

A resident of Uzhura will receive compensation of almost 327,000 rubles for the failed delivery of the fireplace. This was reported in the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

In February 2024, the woman decided to purchase a wood fireplace and entered into a supply agreement with Metal Electro Invest LLC. According to the terms of the contract, the cost of the fireplace amounted to 235 thousand rubles. The buyer contributed 50 % prepayment in the amount of 117,500 rubles, and the remaining part had to be paid upon receipt of goods in a transport company. However, the delivery time has expired, and the fireplace was never delivered.

“Then the victim decided to return the entered advance. A directed written claim was ignored by the seller. To decide the dispute, the woman decided to go to court, ”the Rospotrebnadzor explained.

Management specialists were involved in the court to give an imprisonment in order to protect consumer rights.

The court recovered from Metal Electric Invest LLC in favor of the consumer:

• The amount of the preliminary payment is 117 500 rubles;
• penalty – 80 478.5 rubles;
• Moral harm – 20,000 rubles;
• The fine is 108 989.25 rubles.

The court decision entered into force.
