In the Ermakovsky district, a gold mining company will compensate 28.5 million rubles for damages for polluting the Rudnaya River. The prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk region reported this.
According to the department, since 2024, ZapSibZoloto LLC has been mining alluvial gold in the south of the region. During the work, contaminated wastewater entered the Rudnaya River. The prosecutor's office established that the activities were carried out in violation of the technological scheme previously agreed upon with the authorities of the Federal Agency for Fisheries.
Laboratory studies showed that the permissible concentration of pollutants in water samples was 1.4 thousand times higher. After the inspection, the prosecutor's office made a complaint to the organization and opened several administrative cases. The violations concerned the use of a water body, rules for the protection of water bodies and requirements for the conservation of aquatic biological resources.
The total damage caused to the river was estimated at 28.5 million rubles. After the intervention of the prosecutor's office, the company has already reimbursed 1.5 million rubles.
Payment of the remaining amount is under the control of the supervisory agency.
