
User of the Ukrainian culinary portal Cookpad Inna Tsimbalist shared a recipe for lazy dumplings with potatoes.
“Lazy dumplings with potatoes are the kind of dish you want to cook with pleasure. Whenever there is leftover mashed potatoes, I make these delicious dumplings. Quick, easy and tasty. Serve with homemade heavy cream. Cook with pleasure,” the user wrote.
Ingredients
- 360 g mashed potatoes (yesterday’s, with butter and milk);
- one egg;
- 150 g (±20 g) flour;
- 1 tbsp. l. fresh dill;
- 0.5 tsp salt;
- ground black pepper to taste;
- one bow;
- 1 tbsp. l. lard;
- homemade heavy cream for serving.
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix puree, egg, salt, pepper, flour. Knead soft dough.
- Add dill to the dough.
- Divide the dough into pieces, form dumplings, press on top with a fork.
- Throw the dumplings into boiling salted water and cook for two minutes after floating.
- Fry the onion in lard until golden brown.
- Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon, transfer to a frying pan, stir and fry a little.
- Serve with homemade heavy cream.
