Elements of used electronic cigarettes, such as batteries or wires, are subjected to volunteers in the UK recycling and sent to Ukraine for the production of powerbanki enabling the handling of drones, telephones or night vision devices in trenches – BBC said.

A volunteer from the Union of Ukrainians in Leeds (LUCA) Wiaczesław Semeniuk said that the recycled e-cigarettes serve as “light sources and for cooking.” “Sometimes it is the only source of energy,” he noted.
This year, a ban on selling one-time e-cigarettes has been introduced in Great Britain. It is estimated that 8.2 million used e-cigarettes of this kind have been thrown out every weekend every weekend.
“We open e-cigarettes, pull out the battery, wires and pack them into the boxes,” said Semeniuk. Then volunteers in Ukraine produce energy sources for soldiers.
According to the representative Luc, you need more volunteers to obtain used elements of e-cigarettes. – They usually do only two or three people. I sat at home for hours with my daughter, opening e-cigarettes and pulling out the batteries-he said. (PAP)
