Daria Michalak, for GSP, after Poland's victory in Rotterdam: “I hold Romania's fists!”
In the dialogue with GSP reporters, Daria Michalak, a winger from Danube Brăila, declared herself impressed by the new playing conditions: “The room has a very good air conditioning, I like it. I think we prefer to play here. On Saturday we play against the Netherlands. It will be full for sure, we can't wait for the game.”

Daria had a good performance against Argentina, 5 goals from 7 shots. The best scorer in the Polish camp also comes from the “League of Flowers”. Magda Balsam, the winger of CSM Slatina, scored 6 times. The Poles rely on 3 other handball players from the Romanian championship: Monika Kobylinska (Gloria Bistrița), Aleksandra Olek (Dunărea Brăila) and Natalia Nosek (SCM Craiova).
I don't think it matters how you start, it matters how you finish the match. In the second half we started to play as a team, we started to score from all areas of the field. I passed better, everything was at a higher level. Argentina relied on aggression, they wanted to interrupt our flow of attacks. Holland is next, we are not afraid. We know they are the hosts of the tournament, but the atmosphere motivates us. Anything is possible!

Finally, Michalak had a message for Andreea Popa, Elena Roșu and Elena Șerban, the Romanian colleagues from Dunărea Brăila: “We also talked before the match. I keep my fingers crossed for them, I wish them luck and I hope they succeed in everything they set out to do!”.
