Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu sent a message to support the candidacy of Crin Antonescu and warned that the votes given to Victor Ponta, the former PSD president, increase the chances of Nicușor Dan to become president, the prime minister stating about the latter that he does not have the ability to run Romania.
“Last year, the Romanians decided by vote a parliamentary majority made up of the Social-Democratic Party, the National Liberal Party, UDMR and national minorities. Moreover, both PSD and PNL learned from the last experience of separate candidates for the president. And we decided together, all the three political forces and the national minorities. An experienced man, a mature man and a man who knows exactly what a president of Romania has to do, a man who represents us both internally and externally in a very complicated period not only of Romania, but of the European Union, of Europe and a complicated situation at a global level, ”says the PSD president, in a message on Tik Tok.
Ciolacu claims that Ponta has no chance of entering the second round, but the votes he can get could influence the final result of the presidential elections.
“Victor Ponta's candidacy, my former colleague, is a personal pride. He has no chance of entering the 2nd elections for the position of president. Therefore, please vote useful, vote Crin Antonescu, do not vote for Victor Ponta's personal pride, because any vote to Victor and his personal For this country to be led by Nicuşor Dan ”, says the PSD leader.
Ciolacu argues that the entrance of the mayor of Bucharest into the round will cause him to become president without having the ability to run Romania.
“Nicuşor Dan does not have the ability to lead Romania, from the position of president. Look at his administrative ability to run the capital of Romania,” concluded the PSD leader.
