President Karol Nawrocki met on Christmas Eve with soldiers and officers in Jaryłówka near the Polish-Belarusian border. He argued that peace and security could not be achieved in the future without their daily sacrifice.

During a visit to the town of Jaryłówka near the Polish-Belarusian border, the president emphasized that “wars are part of our social life.” – War is not far away, and under the pressure of the actions of the Russian Federation and Belarus, our borders are dangerous. (…) We want peace and security, but this cannot be achieved without the daily sacrifice of Polish soldiers and officers – he added.

On the one hand, we are a nation that has shown that it can live without its own state and without its own borders – we have lived like this for over 100 years. (…) Today we are a free, independent and sovereign Polandand our borders are not just a line on a map – they are the threshold of our home where our children, our women, our men live – he said.

Addressing Polish soldiers and officers at home and abroad, the president emphasized that they are Poland's ambassadors and build Poland's allied potential, among others. in NATO by fulfilling the mission of defending NATO's eastern flank and fulfilling obligations outside Poland.

Nawrocki emphasized that, as the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, he came to the soldiers and officers to show respect for the Polish uniform. He added that soldiers and officers consciously chose to serve on Christmas Eve “for common safety and good.”.

The president expressed hope that Christian values ​​”will dominate” the world and the world “will be better because there will be no wars, no fights” and wished soldiers and officers a Merry Christmas.
