The Komandor company, together with the Happy Children Foundation and the Children of Baikal Foundation, holds an annual charity event, “The Tree of Good.” Fourteen stores in the chain display New Year trees decorated with photographs of children from orphanages who really need a family.
130 children from orphanages in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Irkutsk Region take part in the “Christmas Tree of Good” campaign.
“Every New Year, children from orphanages invariably make one wish – to find their parents. We are convinced that every child deserves the warmth of family, and we try to do everything possible to make their dreams come true,” emphasizes Galina Rozhkova, head of the Happy Children Foundation. “We believe that next year even more children will celebrate the holiday at home, among their loved ones.”
Christmas trees with photographs of orphans will be placed until January 31 in the stores of the Komandor retail chain.
For questions regarding adoption or registration of guardianship, you can call regional operators at the following numbers: +7 (391) 222-55-34 (Krasnoyarsk region), +7 (395) 252-75-71 (Irkutsk region).
“Video questionnaires give the child the opportunity to talk about himself and his hobbies, and share his desires. Our partners – the Happy Children and Children of Baikal foundations – have been taking such questionnaires for orphans for ten years. Thanks to video questionnaires, 1,588 children have already found a family,” says Maria Sikora, head of the communication center of the Komandor company.
