In Krasnoyarsk, police officers detained the couriers of scammers who stole more than 4 million rubles among the Krasnoyarsk.

The press service explained that last week a 21-year-old resident of the Sverdlovsk district turned to the duty unit. The girl explained that she fell under the influence of IT canom and handed them the data to the account on the public services portal. “On the hook” she was a month. During this time, she sold her apartment on the tip of the attackers and transferred 3.1 million rubles to them. Only after that she realized that she was deceived.

The day before, a 91-year-old pensioner from the Sovetsky district filed a complaint against fraudsters. Attackers also gained access to the account of the public services portal, and then convinced to transfer 900 thousand rubles to the courier.

In both cases, criminal cases of fraud were instituted.

“Criminal investigation officers established suspects. They turned out to be two men born in 2002. As the police found out, the attackers came to Krasnoyarsk from the Volgograd region specifically in order to participate in a fraudulent scheme, ”the press service said.

The guys were detained, their temporary apartment on Baturin Street was searched. There were more than 700 thousand rubles there. They will be returned to the owner.

“In the course of work with the detainees, the police found that the attackers were preparing for the commission of another illegal action – at this very moment, telephone scammers tried to deceive another Krasnoyarsk. The operational actions of the criminal investigation officers on time interrupted the criminal scheme. Now police officers are checking attackers for involvement in the commission of similar crimes in other cities of Russia, ”the press service said.
