“Negative signals from Russia”. Volodymyr Zelensky assesses
“We are moving at quite a pace and our team in Florida is working with the US side.” — wrote the Ukrainian leader on Platform X. In his opinion, the negotiations conducted in the United States are constructive. Zelensky, however, emphasized that it remains crucial for Russia to show real will to end the war and not treat it as a political game. “Unfortunately, the signals coming from Russia are only negative.” – he added, pointing to attacks along the front lines, Russian war crimes and further attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, announced on Friday about the next round of consultations with US representatives. The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Andriy Hnatov, also participated in the talks. Umierov noted that partners from Europe were also invited as part of this format, which confirms the international dimension of the discussion.
