Musk, after previous tensions with Trump related to the tax cuts bill, announced in July the creation of his own political group called the Party of America. However, currently, according to Axiospositions itself as a “traditional Republican megadonor”supporting both the party's campaign teams and its super PAC organizations. Super PACs are election committees that independently allocate the collected funds to campaigns supporting candidates, without directly transferring money to their staffs.

Elon Musk supports Republicans financially

For now, it has not been revealed which specific politicians Musk supports or how much money he allocates to their campaigns. Financial reports on these expenses are expected to be published in January. Nevertheless, as the website notes, Musk's financial support may prove crucial for Republicans in their fight to maintain their advantage in the House of Representatives.

It is worth recalling that in 2024 Musk was one of the largest donors to Republican election campaigns, allocating $291.5 million for this purpose, much of which was directed to supporting Trump.. According to Axios, the billionaire increased his involvement after meeting with Vice President J.D. Vance and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles. In November, Musk attended a party hosted by Vance, where Jared Birchall, the billionaire's assistant responsible for his political spending, was also present.
