It is worth recalling that in 2024 Musk was one of the largest donors to Republican election campaigns, allocating $291.5 million for this purpose, much of which was directed to supporting Trump.. According to Axios, the billionaire increased his involvement after meeting with Vice President J.D. Vance and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles. In November, Musk attended a party hosted by Vance, where Jared Birchall, the billionaire's assistant responsible for his political spending, was also present.
