Increasing the vigilance of services
The alert level system aims to increase the vigilance of public services and administration in the face of potential threats. It consists of four levels: ALFA, BRAVO, CHARLIE and DELTA, of which DELTA is the highest level. The degrees for cyberspace function similarly: ALFA-CRP, BRAVO-CRP, CHARLIE-CRP and DELTA-CRP.
Orders on this matter are issued by the Prime Minister after obtaining the opinion of the Minister of Interior and the head of the Internal Security Agency (ABW). In emergency situations, the decision may be made by the Minister of Internal Affairs, who then immediately informs the head of government about it.
Risks of terrorist events
The BRAVO level is used when there is an increased and predictable risk of terrorist events. In such situations, the services receive signals about a possible threat, which requires increased attention from the public administration. In turn, the BRAVO-CRP level imposes the obligation to intensively monitor the security of ICT systems and increase the readiness of the staff responsible for their protection.
