Alstom has signed a contract for the delivery of 26 additional Coradia Max double-decker trains to the Landesanstalt Schienenfahrzeuge Baden-Württemberg, Alstom announced in a press release. The value of the contract is nearly EUR 500 million, covering service and maintenance until the end of 2055.

It was reported that the order was placed in the third quarter of Alstom's 2025/2026 financial year.
The Alstom plant in Chorzów is responsible for the production of vehicles.
It was indicated that the order is part of the conditional option agreed in May 2022 as part of the contract for 130 Coradia Max trains and FlexCare Perform maintenance services. At that time, the contract provided for the possibility of ordering up to 100 additional vehicles.
The double-decker trains will be put into operation from December 2026 and will gradually serve various routes in Baden-Württemberg. (PAP Business)
