Rapid prevailed categorically in the duel with Unirea Slobozia, score 4-1, on Monday evening, in Giulesti, and is tied on points with FC Botoșani, the surprise leader of the Superliga.
The hosts destroyed any kind of emotion regarding the winner from the first half, and at the break they were leading 3-0, thanks to the goals scored by Petrila, Pop and Manea. Rapid also scored in the first and second half, through captain Dobre.
The last success of the game belonged to the guests – Espinosa scored for Unirea Slobozia in the 90th+1st minute.
FC Botoșani also played today, at home, and beat Hermannstadt 2-0. The leader has 31 points, the same as Rapidul, but a higher goal difference. The podium is completed by the University of Craiova (28 p), which at this stage managed only a draw against those from Metaloglobus.
For Unirea Slobozia, the defeat against Rapid was the third in a row in the Superliga, where the Ialomi team currently occupies 8th place, one point away from the play-off.
