Karol Nawrocki changes his plans after Orban's visit to Russia. Behind the scenes of the decision


Przydacz explained in a post on the X website that Orban's visit to Russia and its context prompted President Nawrocki to change his plans. On Friday in Moscow, the Hungarian Prime Minister met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which caused controversy in the international arena.
Marcin Przydacz, commenting on the president's decision, emphasized that Karol Nawrocki is unwaveringly involved in activities to end the war in Ukraine, which was started by Russia. “President Karol Nawrocki consistently supports finding real ways to end the war in Ukraine caused by the Russian Federation,” Przydacz noted.

The legacy of Lech Kaczyński
The head of the International Policy Bureau also added that Nawrocki refers in his policy to the legacy of President Lech Kaczyński, emphasizing the importance of solidarity in Europe, especially in the context of security and energy cooperation.
“Due to Prime Minister Viktor Orban's visit to Moscow and its context, President K. Nawrocki decided to limit the program of his visit to Hungary only to the summit of the Visegrad Group presidents in Esztergom” – Przydacz informed.
During the summit, President Nawrocki, together with the leaders of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, is to talk about security issues and cooperation in Central Europe. The original visit plan included a two-day stay in Hungary. In addition to participating in the Esztergom summit, the president was to go to Budapest, where he was scheduled to meet with Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok and Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
