Firefighters intervene on Tuesday evening on Aleea Tineretului in Buftea, Ilfov county, after a cylinder explosion occurred in an apartment located on the ground floor of a building in the Studio district. The deflagration was not followed by fire, reported the crews on the scene.
Search and rescue teams were formed to identify and evacuate people possibly trapped under the rubble. Up to this moment, two people have been evaluated by the medical crews, ISU Bucharest-Ilfov informs.
People within a radius of 50 meters are evacuated.
The building is at risk of collapse at the level of the apartment where the explosion occurred.
In order to manage the situation, five fire trucks, the Special Detachment of Rescuers, an extrication truck, a height intervention and rescue truck, five SMURD ambulances, the truck for the transport of multiple victims and six SABIF crews were alerted.
