Babisz and Nawrocki agreed that the Visegrad Group (V4) had performed well in the past when it operated at the level of prime ministers. If Babisz becomes head of government again, he wants to strive to renew cooperation on issues on which there is agreement. — If some V4 countries have a different opinion on the conflict in Ukraine, it does not mean that we cannot jointly address the issue of ETS2, illegal migration, return to ETS1, and, above all, energy issues and other problems plaguing Europe, the ANO leader told journalists.
Karol Nawrocki stated at a press conference after the meeting with Czech President Petr Pavel that, in his opinion, the V4 expects a pragmatic model of cooperation. According to him, countries can cooperate, for example, on climate and migration issues.
Babisz, whose populist ANO movement won the parliamentary elections in early October, plans to form a government with radical and anti-EU groups. At the end of October, President Petr Pavel entrusted the ANO leader with the mission of forming a government, but did not appoint him prime minister. He assures that he will do it when Babisz, who owns 100 percent. shares of one of the largest Czech food and chemical holdings, will publicly present how he wants to resolve the conflict of interests that threatens him when he becomes prime minister.
