Road accident in Bucharest. A 22-year-old man hit a SMURD ambulance on a mission. Two other cars were damaged

A road accident took place on Wednesday, March 25, on Iancu de Hunedoara Boulevard, near the “Grigore Alexandrescu” Hospital in Bucharest. Four vehicles were involved, including an on-duty SMURD ambulance.

According to the Capital Road Brigade, a 22-year-old man, who was driving a car on Iancu de Hunedoara Boulevard, collided with the ambulance driven by a 39-year-old man. The ambulance had its visual and acoustic signals working. The impact caused damage to two more cars in traffic.
Following the accident, a 27-year-old female passenger was injured and transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The traffic police tested the drivers with the alcohol test device, the results were negative for alcohol consumption.
Research continues to establish the exact causes and circumstances of the accident. During the investigation, traffic on lanes 1 and 2 of Iancu de Hunedoara Boulevard, from Piața Victoriei to Calea Dorobanti, was restricted.
