There are two more landscaped public gardens in the Zheleznodorozhny district

In the Zheleznodorozhny district of Krasnoyarsk, two new mini-squares have been created on undemarcated land near apartment buildings, the mayor’s office reported.

The residents themselves came up with the initiative to improve the territory. The spaces were not classified as adjacent spaces, so it was impossible to arrange them independently. After winning the competition for initiative projects, financial support was allocated for the transformation of the sites.

As a result, the houses at 34 Robespierre and 149 Ada Lebedeva now have pedestrian paths, water drainage trays, lawns, benches and two pergolas with swing bars. The problem of a steep slope in the area of ​​house 49 on Republic Street was also solved. A spontaneous path was trodden here, along which residents descended to Robespierre Street, which was replaced with a staircase with handrails.

“I couldn’t be happier now. We used to have a steep descent from the side of the 49th house on Republic Street, here many people went down to the bus stop. I walked myself, although I was afraid of slipping. Now there is a comfortable staircase, with railings, everything is safe,” added Tatyana Popova, a resident of the Zheleznodorozhny district.

​The second public space appeared between the houses Krasnomoskovskaya, 1a and 1b. An integrated sports ground with outdoor exercise equipment and a children's play complex with a soft rubber surface were placed on an area of ​​1,100 square meters. The area was illuminated and a lawn with hedges was planted.

“It’s very good that the area has been developed; we have several apartment buildings in the area, many families with children. Due to the lack of any kind of playground, the children went to the neighboring ones. Now we have our own right next to the house,” said Yevgeny Mazurov, a resident of the Zheleznodorozhny district.

​In 2026, morning exercises, training sessions and sports master classes will be held here. The Belt Wrestling Federation of the Krasnoyarsk Territory expressed a desire to advise beginning athletes on safety precautions and methods of performing various sports exercises.

“The competition of initiative projects is a great opportunity to improve the so-called “gray spots” in the area. Especially when it comes to landscaping areas on undemarcated land. Applications are mainly received for such objects. Next year we also plan to improve two plots in the district,” noted the head of the Zheleznodorozhny district administration, Evgeniy Syomkin.

​In 2026, as part of initiative projects in the Zheleznodorozhny district, sports grounds for playing table tennis will be built on the street. Krasnomoskovskaya, 3 and st. Tolstogo, 43 (next to school No. 19).
