SME financing of tens of millions of EUR, removed from the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Program calendar

An expected digitalization program for companies in Bucharest and Ilfov County was reduced by EUR 10 million, and three other funding lines, totaling EUR 24.5 million, were cancelled, according to the indicative calendar of project calls within the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Program 2021-2027. StartupCafe is approaching the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency to clarify what is happening with the money intended for Romanian entrepreneurs.

We are talking about financing lines intended for SMEs, from the state budget and from European funds, through the Cohesion Policy of the European Union. The schemes are managed directly by the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency (ADR), as the management authority of the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Program 2021-2027.

In indicative calendar of project calls within the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Program, financing scheme 1.7 – Support for the advanced digital transformation of SMEs now figures with a total budget of EUR 25 millionof which EUR 10 million comes from the European Union, through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), part of the EU Cohesion Policy. The rest of EUR 15 million is expected to come from Romania's state budget, the Bucharest-Ilfov region being considered more developed.
