The electric scooter rental season has officially ended in Krasnoyarsk. During the off-season, all equipment will undergo maintenance and return to the city streets in the spring.

One of the kick sharing services Whoosh summed up the results of the season. Over the five years of its presence in the city, more than 700 thousand people have used kick-sharing services – about 60% of the city’s residents.

Last season, 93% of trips were of a transport nature. Krasnoyarsk residents actively used scooters to commute to work and combined them with public transport. The average trip lasted 12 minutes and was 4 kilometers. The most popular routes were Dubrovinsky Street, Kommunisticheskaya Street, Avenue named after the newspaper “Krasnoyarsky Rabochiy” and 9 May Street.

This season we paid special attention to safety. The number of accidents was reduced by 79% thanks to joint work with the traffic police and the city administration. The service blocked 2,305 accounts of teenagers under 16 years of age.

Earlier, another operator, MTS Yurent, shared the results of the season. According to their data, Krasnoyarsk residents have traveled more than 2.7 million kilometers, and the average travel time has decreased to 13 minutes. Both services note that electric scooters have become a full-fledged urban transport.
